Turkey's Vehicle Fleet in 2025: The Big Picture for the Spare Parts Market

Turkey's Vehicle Fleet in 2025: The Big Picture for the Spare Parts Market

By the end of 2025, Turkey's total registered motor vehicle fleet reached approximately 33.6 million, with passenger cars accounting for 17.4 million. An average vehicle age of 14.2 years is notably high compared to many European countries, making it one of the key factors behind Turkey's strength as a spare parts market. The age distribution makes the picture even clearer: roughly 28% of vehicles fall in the 0-5 year range, while vehicles over 15 years old account for about 39% of the fleet. In other words, roughly one in two vehicles on the road is well past its original warranty period and firmly within the age group most dependent on aftermarket parts. Fuel type distribution also signals where parts demand is headed: diesel (32.6%), petrol (30.9%), and LPG (30.1%) hold closely matched shares, while hybrid and electric vehicles together still represent only 6-7% of the fleet. This confirms that cooling systems, engine components, and intake-exhaust product groups — all specific to internal combustion engines — will continue to form the backbone of the market for years to come. At BNB Auto Spare Parts, we track this demographic picture closely and shape our production planning across intercoolers, intake manifolds, oil coolers, water pumps, exhaust manifolds, and radiator fans in line with fleet data from both the Turkish and export markets.
