EA888 Gen 3 Water Pump
The BNB EA888 Gen 3 water pump is manufactured for the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI/TFSI EA888 Gen 3 engines used in Volkswagen Golf VII, Audi A3 8V, Seat Leon III and Skoda Octavia III models.
Plastic impeller failure is extremely common in EA888 Gen 3 engine water pumps. When the impeller slips, engine coolant circulation stops and the engine overheats. This failure typically manifests between 80,000–120,000 km.
The BNB water pump uses a reinforced metallic alloy impeller instead of the original plastic impeller. The silicon carbide mechanical seal minimises leakage risk. The integrated thermostat housing is delivered with the thermostat fitted.
