1.9 / 2.0 TDI Exhaust Manifold
The BNB 1.9/2.0 TDI exhaust manifold is manufactured using ductile cast iron (GGG40) for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda diesel engines with PD (Pumpe-Düse / Unit Injector) and Common Rail technology.
The primary cause of exhaust manifold cracking is thermal fatigue. The manifold, subjected to thermal expansion/contraction stress during cold-start to warm-up cycles, typically cracks in the area between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders. Symptoms are clicking noise at idle, exhaust gas smell and turbo noise.
BNB manifold uses D5S ductile cast iron material, with all flange surfaces CNC-machined to ensure sealing. Test temperature: 950°C. OEM reference: 038 253 031 G.
